GameStop's buy one, get one free sale on preowned games and accessories has just about anything you could think of.

GameStop has kicked off one of the largest buy two, get one free sales ever. The promotion is largely limited to preowned and refurbished games and accessories, but that's just about the only stipulation. Whether you're shopping for Nintendo Switch, PS5, or Xbox Series X|S, there's a good chance the game you're looking for is available--if GameStop carries the game, it's included in the sale.

The vast majority of games and accessories up for grabs are preowned/refurbished, but there are select new clearance products up for grabs, too. Oh, and the promotion isn't limited to games for current console platforms; GameStop's selection of Nintendo 3DS, DS, and retro games are eligible, too. You'll want to use GameStop's search bar to find specific items, or use the search filters to narrow down the list from the 6,000+ products to the platform you're looking for.

Though you'll find plenty of gaming consoles--including the PS5 and Switch OLED-- on the promotion page, systems are only kind of included. Consoles count as one of your three items, but they cannot be the free item. So, sadly, you can't buy a PS5 and Xbox Series X and get the Switch OLED for free. That said, you could pair a console with a recent game and an extra controller, which would still be a pretty great deal.

If you want to add some of the more colorful DualSense controller variants to your collection, you can get three PS5 controllers for only $130. Xbox owners can get three wireless controllers for $100. And though you probably don't need three Switch Pro controllers, the option to get three for $130 is there.

On the games side of things, GameStop has a bunch of preowned copies of AAA hits that released in the past several months or so, including Hogwarts Legacy, Resident Evil 4, and Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe.

A lot of the games are selling for close to the same price as new copies, so you'll have to decide if the promotion makes sense for what you're eyeing. As always with these sales, the cheapest of the three products in your cart will be free. Though you can buy multiple sets of three in one transaction, pay close attention to the the items GameStop marks down to free. For example, we noticed that if we added six items to our cart, the two cheapest were the freebies, instead of grouping the sets of three to give you the best bang for your buck. If this happens to you, you'll want to split your purchases into separate transactions.
